Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and Services to you.

In no case shall Astral Computers, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility.

Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Astral Computers and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.

In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
General Terms:

Final Sale Terms:
We would like to inform you that all products and services offered by Astral Computers are final sale. We do not provide refunds or returns for any systems or services that have already been administered. However, please be reassured that we have a comprehensive warranty policy in place that will help protect your system from unexpected failures or damages.

Trade Requests:
While more commonly requested locally than online, we do not accept trade requests currently for any items or systems.
Local Trade-In Policy:
We suggest that customers try selling specific parts or entire systems to get the most value out of them. However, at our discretion, returning customers can trade in their previously purchased systems or parts from our company for trade-in credit towards upgrades or new systems.

To be eligible for this, the customer must be the original owner of the system. If the system has been modified, we reserve the right to reject certain parts in the system build. The customer will have to bring their system in for testing beforehand. We recommend doing this when placing an order for an upgrade or new system. Please get in touch with us for further information.
Remote Trade-In Policy:
We suggest that customers attempt to sell their individual parts first, as this would likely yield the highest return. However, we understand that trade-ins can be more convenient. For customers who are located outside of Nova Scotia and are interested in trade-in credit, we may have to limit and review trade-in requests on a case-by-case basis.

It's usually easier to ship individual parts than full systems. If you opt for a trade-in, we'll need you to ship the system part to us for testing and review. Once we've evaluated the condition of the product, we'll ship out the new part or system based on the agreed timeline. The trade-in value may change based on the product's condition.

Please refer to our shipping guide and policies for information on how to handle any damage that may occur during shipping.
Buy-Back Policy:
We would like to inform you that we do not purchase or buy back any systems that were built and sold by our company, our customers or other builders. We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and while we cannot buy the system, we can provide you with a copy of the specification list from your invoice and assist you with any system-related queries you may have.
Upgrade Services:
If you're considering upgrading your system, we're available to assist you. We can guide you in selecting the appropriate components to upgrade your system. We'll take care of sourcing the parts, as well as installing and testing your system. You can find the service rates on the service list page.

Ready To Ship Cancellation Terms:
We allow cancellations for ready-to-ship orders that have not yet been shipped or modified. If you wish to cancel your order, please send us an email within 24 hours of the original purchase date. Cancellation requests made after shipping or outside the cancellation window will not be accepted.

For local pickup orders that were paid with a deposit, your order begins the day/time you make your first deposit payment. For more information regarding deposits on local orders - please refer to our order deposits section.

Regarding "Prebuilt", "Rebuilt", and "Renew" system orders that require modification or additional parts, and for which you have already paid a deposit, please note that your deposit is non-refundable.
Custom Order Terms:
We work with customers directly for custom orders. Customers are provided with a formal quote and/or deposit sheet to approve the order. Per the order agreement, a full payment or partial deposit may be requested. For custom orders, we may be required to special order components.

We do not offer cancellations on fully paid customs. If a customer would like to abandon their order with a paid deposit, the deposit will not be refunded.
Submit A Cancellation Request:
All requests to cancel any existing purchases must be made by sending an email to astralpcsales@gmail.com, which must contain your request to cancel your purchase and should include the purchase/order number or date of sale if no purchase/order number was provided.
Processing & Fees
Please note that your cancellation will be subject to fees associated with the payment method of choice. Any shipping-related fees will not be refunded. We do not offer cancellations on custom orders with a deposit. We do not offer cancellations on purchases through financing providers.

Local Pickup Deposits:
If you are placing a local pickup order for our products in Nova Scotia and paying through e-transfer or cash via our website or any other contact method, we may require a deposit from you to reserve the system for pickup. This is especially true for customized orders that can require additional labor and testing time.

The deposit amount will vary depending on the product and will generally range between 5-10% of the total product sales price.
Custom Orders:
For custom orders that require specific non-inventory parts, the deposit amount may be higher than 10%. However, we will discuss and approve the deposit amount with the customer before any monetary exchanges.
Non-Refundable Deposits:
Please note that system order deposits are non-refundable. You may by your own initiative make a larger down-payment than the original deposit. In the case a customer has decided to cancel their order within the 24 hour window provided, only their contributions above the agreed upon deposit will be returned to the customer.
Payment Splitting:
Some customers may have a daily-limit for their Interac E-Transfer, Debit, Credit Card or other payment services. At the customer's request we can split payments on local pickup and delivery orders. If you need to split up a payment for an online order please contact us directly.

Order Confirmation:
We offer various payment options on our site and plan to add more, in the future. Following purchase, you receive an order confirmation/payment receipt. Order Confirmation should arrive within 1-2 days of purchase. Depending on the order time, day or payment processor this may take longer. If you have not received an order confirmation please send us an email.
Order Reservation:
Delivery and Pickup Items are reserved for you following full payment or partial deposit. Local pickup orders will be informed when their order is ready for pickup.
Stock Availability:
We make every effort to ensure that our inventory and listings are updated. However, if you have ordered an item or part that is currently out of stock or on back-order, your order may be delayed while we source the necessary parts from our suppliers. We will try our best to keep you informed of any delays and provide you with an estimated timeline.

In case the chosen part is unavailable, we will offer you comparable options, upgrades or downgrades. Please note that due to product variability, limited quantity items, shortages, and unforeseeable errors, stock availability may vary.
Prebuilt / Rebuilt / Renew Systems:
Our Prebuilt, Rebuilt and Renew desktop systems are Ready-to-ship systems that come with specific components that are built, tested, and configured for you. If there are no add-ons, we aim to ship all systems within 2-5 business days.

However, if you choose to add any upgrades or add-ons, we offer a variety of options to choose from. Depending on your upgrade choices, the system may require additional testing before shipping, which can take anywhere from 2-4 days per upgrade. We suggest that you review the product page for additional information on upgrades and add-ons.
Custom Orders:
We work directly with customers to organize, quote, build, test and ship orders. Custom orders undergo 2-5 days of testing, depending on the product. Once all testing is completed, your order will be shipped within 2-5 business days.
Order Delays:
We strive to offer quick and efficient services and shipping. However, there may be times when your order might be delayed due to factors such as a large number of sales or service requests, hardware malfunctions, stock unavailability, holidays, or unforeseen circumstances. We always try our best to inform our customers regarding any delay in ordering or shipping, whenever it is possible.

Order Failed:
In some cases, orders may be rejected due to a high risk of fraud. If our fraud protection system has flagged or prevented you from completing your order, rest assured that we offer other payment options. You can take advantage of a 5% discount by paying locally through cash or e-transfer. If you need help placing your order, please feel free to send us an email and we will be happy to assist you.
Matching Information:
It is important to ensure that the billing address and shipping address match when making a purchase with a credit card. If there is a mismatch, we may cancel your order at our discretion.
Verification:
If our payment processing systems identify your order as a medium to high-risk, we may need to verify your identity to authorize the order or provide additional secure payment options. To do so, we may request you to provide valid forms of identification, such as government IDs, driver's licenses, medical cards, or passports.

Canada Only - For Now:
Astral Computers only provides services and ships within Canada. We do not offer international shipping at this time, but may provide consultations to U.S buyers on a case-by-case basis. Our goal is to extend our services to the United States in the future.
Canadian Territories + Nunavut:
For now, we have decided not to advertise shipping rates for Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. Shipping rates and times can vary greatly depending on the specific location. To ensure accurate rates and adequate protection for the long journey from Nova Scotia, we ask customers to contact us directly for shipping information and quotes.

As our business grows, if we receive sufficient inquiries we will aim to provide either real-time or flat-rates for shipping.
Shipping Couriers:
Astral Computers uses a variety of well-known and reputable couriers in Canada these can include and are not limited to: Canada Post, UPS, Fedex, Purolator, CanPar. The chosen shipping courier will vary per the region and item shipped.
P.O Boxes:
Shipping to P.O. Boxes is exclusively handled by Canada Post. If you need to use your P.O. Box for receiving packages, please choose the "P.O. Box - Canada Post" option during checkout. A signature is required, so your parcel will typically be held at your designated post office until it can be signed for.
Shipping Rates:
Shipping rates for desktop systems may vary at any time due to various factors such as the product model, size/weight, graphics card choice, location, and time of year. Our objective is to offer customers with reasonable shipping and handling rates. In the future, we may provide specific fixed rates for individual products. Additionally, we may offer buyers free shipping vouchers at certain times.
Flat Rates:
We offer flat-rate shipping on all desktop systems. Although we are working on implementing real-time shipping rates, the customizable nature of our systems makes this challenging.
Additional Fees:
Astral Computers ships across Canada, aiming to provide accurate shipping rates. Additional costs may apply for rural or peak time shipments. We strive to notify you of fees upfront but may need to contact you regarding unexpectedly high charges.
Shipment Tracking:
After your order is processed, we will prepare it for shipping. Customers are provided with tracking information for their orders. If you do not receive a tracking number for your order please reach out.
Shipping Insurance:
Astral Computers offers shipping insurance through Canada Post and third-party shipping services. Desktop systems come with limited shipping insurance. In the future, we may provide shipping insurance add-ons at checkout.
Custom, Duties, Taxes:
Orders in Canada should not experience additional customs fees, duties or taxes for orders shipped within Canada. Please note any orders, service requests or manufacturer RMA services to the United States or other countries may incur customs, duties and taxable fees. These additional fees are the customer's responsibility.
Title Transfer:
Title to any products You purchase from us and risk of loss or damage to such products during the shipping process shall pass to You upon delivery by us to the carrier for shipment of the product(s) You purchase.
Shipping Delays:
Astral Computers is not responsible for delays in shipping. Your shipment may be delayed at any time by the courier for a variety of factors including, but not limited to: weather, acts of god, routing issues, high volume, holidays and more.
Receiving & Signature:
All order shipments require a customer's signature to release the item upon delivery. If not signed, per the courier's policy, the order will be relocated to the nearest courier depot. Please refer to the courier's policies to see the length of time they will hold your package. The customer is responsible for setting up a new delivery or pickup date with the courier.
Refusal
Customers may not refuse to receive the package from the courier. Any additional fees incurred to return or re-ship the item to the customer will be the buyer's responsibility.
Damage Packaging:
All system orders that are shipped will require a signature upon receipt. If any shipping damage occurs, it is important to document it immediately by taking photos and videos of the item before and while opening it. If there is any damage or defects, please report it within 24 hours of receiving the item to qualify for free-return shipping. You must keep all original packaging material and contents.

If you report any damage after the 24-hour window, we may not be held responsible for it as ownership and liability end with the courier service. However, we will still try our best to assist you with returning and repairing the damaged item. Any costs related to the return, repair, and shipping fees will become the responsibility of the customer.

Windows 10 / Windows 11 - Our Supported Operating Systems
Astral Computers builds, tests, and ships systems with Windows 10 and Windows 11. Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 14, 2025. Starting in 2024, unless otherwise requested, our systems will be shipped with Windows 11 installed. This decision aims to prevent issues that can arise from improper updates or upgrades from Windows 10 to Windows 11 via Windows Update. Which can sometimes cause operating system corruption or expose compatibility issues. Additionally, Windows 11 is preferred for modern Intel processors utilizing efficiency cores.
Alternative Operating Systems
Our systems are tested with and designed to run Windows, and therefore, we cannot guarantee perfect operation and compatibility with all Linux distros, ChromeOS, MacOS (Hackintosh), or other alternative operating systems available for download. Hardware, drivers, and software compatibility, as well as data backup and access, can vary greatly depending on the operating system used.

Certain operating systems may be designed for advanced users and require tinkering or additional steps to complete specific tasks. Our ability to troubleshoot specific issues may be limited by the system's functionality, available supported applications, and our expertise with the OS.

Our warranty covers your system parts and our local (NS) or remote diagnostic services to uncover hardware defects or failures when necessary and possible. We aim to provide solutions to solve issues or assist in replacing parts if defective. However, as we do not openly sell or support systems with alternative operating systems, specific issues, problems, or operating system failures resulting from alternative operating systems may not always be directly covered under our warranty policies.

In cases where service is needed for these issues, a service fee may be quoted to complete the necessary work, troubleshooting, and research. In the future, we aim to grow our supported list of operating systems.
Alternative OS Installation Requests:
If a customer would like a specific operating system installed and configured, it would be considered an add-on service. The above terms may apply, and a service charge for the setup time may be included. While we are willing to install different operating systems as a courtesy, our warranty may not fully cover these installations, and we cannot guarantee that they will meet the customer’s exact expectations.

DOA Returns - Keep Packaging
If you have received your system with damage or defect, please hold onto and reuse and return any original packaging and contents. Please contact us for advisement if your packaging materials have been damaged beyond return.
Warranty Service or Other - Use
If you need to return your order for any warranty, general service, or upgrades, please refer to the following information on how to package it for return shipping.

We recommend that customers keep the desktop tower packaging and instant foam packing material in good condition for some time. If the packaging is still safe to use, it can be used to ship the system back to us. However, if the packaging is no longer safe for shipping, you may need to purchase or find alternative packaging material.
Packaging Example Guide:
1. Inside Your Desktop:
If you need to ship your computer, it is recommended to remove the graphics card and pack it separately. This will make it easier to secure the other components. You can use instant packing foam bags (InstaPak), airbags, foam chunks, or paper to fill the empty spaces and prevent movement during shipping.

2. Outside Your Desktop:
Before packing the desktop, wrap it in a plastic bag to protect it from scratches. If you have the original box, use two foam pieces to secure the system at the top and bottom, or front and back of the case. Then, insert the system into the box. If you don't have the original box, find a box with similar dimensions. Use paper, foam, air pack, or instant foam packaging to fill any voids in the box. If your computer has a glass panel, use foam to protect it.

3. Sealing & Labeling:
Once you have packed the system, seal the box on all sides with tape. Cover any dents or holes in the box with tape as well. Make sure to cover any original shipping labels to avoid confusion. We recommend you apply two matching shipping labels on the box to avoid issues in shipping. If you have taken out the graphics card, please ship it back to us in the original box to avoid damage in shipping. You can apply two separate labels to the graphics card box.

Depending on the situation and the extent of the damage, if the manufacturer agrees to service or replace the damaged components, we may be able to provide a direct or equivalent replacement option.

Markings, Scratches & Minor Wear:
If you have received your system with damage or defect, please hold onto and reuse and return any original packaging and contents. Please contact us for advisement if your packaging materials have been damaged beyond return.
